Was there a Triangle Tube carbon monoxide recall?

Yes.

Separately from the shutdown, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Triangle Tube announced a recall on February 27, 2025 (CPSC Recall 25-157).

The recalled products are Prestige Solo, Prestige Excellence, and Aerco Esteem condensing gas boilers.

The stated hazard: the boilers can release carbon monoxide due to delayed ignitions or component damage.

CPSC reported approximately 60,000 units sold in the United States and about 7,500 in Canada.

CPSC names the manufacturer as Burnsen SA of Belgium and the importer as Triangle Tube; the recalled boilers were built from December 2011 through April 2019.

CPSC reported two deaths from CO poisoning associated with recalled units, and 25 reports of CO leaks.

Serial-number ranges and model tables are on the CPSC recall page.

Ideal Heating North America's site stated that the window for the 2025 Prestige recall remedy closed January 31, 2026.

This is supported on the CPSC page, which states that the remedy is no longer available to consumers who have not already registered.

If you still have a Prestige Solo, Prestige Excellence, or Aerco Esteem from that date range: keep working carbon monoxide alarms on every level of the home and outside sleeping areas, and treat the unit as a known-hazard product with no manufacturer remedy left for late registrants.
